Pinellas County is moving forward with an emergency project to shore up the most impacted areas which will include temporary sand stabilization structures, dune reconstruction, or a combination of both, depending on site-specific needs. They are already in design and the survey work is complete. This process is moving ahead as quickly as possible. More info to come.
As a reminder, the Town of Indian Shores is in the process of having our beaches raked to help smooth out some of the effects of Hurricane Idalia. The first rake took place on Thursday, September 7th, and a subsequent rake will take place on Wednesday, September 27th west of the Coastal Construction Line (CCL). If you have sand work that needs to be done east of the CCL, the vendor the Town is using for our work is Beach Masonizing and they can be reached at 727-395-0023.
