The Towns of Indian Shores and Indian Rocks Beach had multiple car burglaries early this morning, Monday, October 23, 2017.
Indian Shores Police Officer Matt Holm spotted the 5 or 6 juveniles in two different cars and tried to apprehend them. The suspects fled the scene going south on Gulf Boulevard and then east over the Park Boulevard Bridge at a high rate of speed with their lights off.Due to public safety concerns, the situation did not dictate the Officers pursue. Officer Holm radioed the information about the vehicles fleeing east on Park Boulevard where the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office joined in (not in pursuit) and deployed “stop sticks,” however, they were ineffective and the vehicles were lost somewhere in St. Petersburg.
