Leave No Trace on the Beach

Items left on the beach between 10:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. are subject to removal.

Leave No Trace Ordinance 2018-04

"It shall be unlawful for any person to leave an item of personal property unattended on any portion of the public beach located in Indian Shores, Florida from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. daily."

This means that anything left on the beach between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. is subject to impoundment. More details can be found in Ordinance 2018-04. Items will be held at the Town Hall and are subject to an impoundment fee. After 90 days of impoundment, the Town may dispose of any item(s) removed.

The Town desires to keep the beaches clean and free from potential hazards to people, animals or the environment. Please help us continue to protect marine turtles and provide for an environment that is conducive to marine turtle nesting and habitat protection.
