The Indian Shores Building Department has Temporary Procedures for Permits and Inspections beginning immediately.
TOWN OF INDIAN SHORES
Due to the COVID-19 / Coronavirus situation in Pinellas County, and in keeping with the directives by the County concerning social distancing, the Town will be incorporating the following temporary procedures for building department operations, effective Monday, March 23, 2020, until further notice.
PERMITS:
Permit applications and supporting documents may be submitted via the Town Library Book Depository at the front entry to Town Municipal Center Building.
Permits may also be submitted via email, at wjones@myindianshores.com
Ensure that all applications include a valid email address and phone number for the applicant.
Permits will be reviewed, and when approved, a permit placard will be sent to the applicant via the email address provided.
If permit is denied, applicant will be notified via the email address or phone number and given instructions for completion of the application.
INSPECTIONS:
To request an inspection:
- Go to www.myindianshores.com and click on the link for the Building Department under the Town Government menu.
- Click on the link for Request Building Permit Inspections.
- Click on Building Inspection Request.
- Follow the directions to submit your request. Be sure to include your contact information.

PAYMENTS:
Permits may be payed with a credit card, over the phone or by mailing a check to:

NOTE: Inspections will be limited to exterior work, or unoccupied buildings which can be accessed without passing through occupied spaces.
The Building Official will be available via telephone at 941-662-7748, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
