[ARCHIVED] IMPORTANT INFORMATION on Tropical Storm Elsa

Tropical Storm Elsa will be a significant storm event. Please stay tuned to your weather station for updates as Pinellas County is under a Hurricane Watch.

The ground is saturated in Pinellas County, so we're anticipating uprooted trees with impacts to underground and overhead utilities.

Re-Entry passes will be available on the 2nd floor in the Police Department until 2:00 p.m. today.

This is a shelter-in-place event. However, if you are in a low-lying area, consider relocating until the storm passes.  There is no mandatory evacuation. There are 2 Pinellas County shelters open. Here's the link

Town Hall will be closing at 2:00 p.m. today and will remain closed through tomorrow.

Starting at 6:00 p.m. today, PCSO deputies will be on bridges to the barrier islands limiting access to those with re-entry passes or those who can otherwise show they have a reason to be on the barrier islands.

The Indian Shores Police Department will have several officers monitoring throughout the night.
