The town is planning a pavement condition assessment taking place the week of August 18. Streets will need to be temporarily closed off with no parking during the scanning. A schedule is provided below.
Street Pavement Condition Assessment - Street Closures
Engineers will be performing pavement condition assessments around town beginning Monday, August 18 and running throughout the week.
Each assessment takes approximately 15-45 minutes to complete depending on the length of the road and conditions. To perform these assessments successfully, streets will be temporarily closed off from traffic (unless due to emergency) on the specified dates listed below. There will be NO PARKING on the street or in town owned parking areas/lots during the scan. If you have a private off-street parking space that requires the use of a public street to enter or exit the parking spaces, we would request that you limit the movement of your vehicles during the assessment process. Streets will reopen as soon as the assessment is complete.
- If you or your guests utilize Town owned street parking (paid or unpaid) and need a place to park during the assessments, you may park for free at Town Hall (19305 Gulf Blvd.) utilizing your Indian Shores Re-entry Pass.
- If more convenient, you may also park at Tiki Gardens (19601 Gulf Blvd.) by coming to Town Hall prior to the scheduled assessment, Monday – Friday, between the hours of 8 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. for an overnight parking pass obtained from the Administration office located on the 3rd floor. Tiki Gardens is not owned/managed by the Town; therefore, we cannot guarantee what time the Park Rangers will close the gates in the evening (dusk) or open them in the morning (dawn) to retrieve your vehicle. IMPORTANT: Once Park Rangers close the gate at Tiki Gardens, you will not be able to exit the park until it reopens the next morning.
